The TBBCA Raises Critical Funds and Honors Businesses and Professionals at the 17th Annual Impact Awards & Save the Arts Benefit
The Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts (TBBCA) raised $44,000 at its 17th Annual Awards Gala and Save the Arts Benefit on Nov. 9, at The Coliseum in St. Petersburg. The money raised will support the TBBCA's Save the Arts initiatives, which provides funding for local artists, cultural organizations and aspiring artists.
More than 200 attendees celebrated the history of The Coliseum’s big band era, and were entertained by 20 local musicians with Tampa Bay’s Boulevard Jazz Orchestra and local professional swing dancers, Sheven Kekoolani and Daniella Rey.
Emmy award winning journalist and director of community affairs for WFTS TV ABC Action News, Lissette Campos, presented the TBBCA’s Impact Awards to three Tampa Bay businesses and three business professionals for making significant contributions to the Bay Area’s arts and cultural scene.

Cultural Encounters is Back!
The TBBCA is proud to announce its 2011-2012 Cultural Encounters Series presented by Kleinman | Bertucelli. Cultural Encounters takes participants on five, behind-the-scenes tours of local cultural institutions, giving them an exclusive, insider's look into the rich culture of Tampa Bay. This popular series promotes a better understanding of the local arts scene and provides financial support for participating charities.

ArtsTampaBay is a joint project of the Arts Councils of Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties (Florida) with support from Tampa Bay & Company and Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater and the conventions and visitors associations, providing a comprehensive entertainment calendar for the Tampa Bay region. ArtsTampaBay is a one-stop guide for locals and visitors alike.
